iPhone 11 to sell at Rs 21,999 during Flipkart Big Billion Days 2024 sale: Details
Double dhamaka! The iPhone 12 Mini is not the only Apple iPhone getting a big discount during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days 2024 sale on September 27. The Walmart-owned e-commerce platform is also set to sell the iPhone 11 at a staggeringly low price of Rs 21,999 during its biggest sale event of the year. The deal prices have been revealed as part of Flipkart’s “sale price live” which essentially gives buyers an early peak into what to expect.
During the Flipkart Big Billion Days 2024 sale, Apple’s iPhone 11 will sell for as low as Rs 21,999. This is for the base variant with 64GB of onboard storage. The iPhone 11’s 128GB variant will be available at Rs 24,999. For those unaware, the iPhone 11 was launched at a starting price of Rs 64,900 although, the price was lowered after the launch of the iPhone 12.
Making a case for the iPhone 11 in 2024
Apple doesn’t officially make the iPhone 11 anymore. But clearly, Flipkart continues to have it in stock and wants to clear it off—very similar to the iPhone 12 Mini—now more than ever. Over and above the flat discount, Flipkart says it will also give you up to Rs 21,300 off on exchange for the 64GB iPhone 11, while in the case of the 128GB variants, this number can go up to Rs 23,900. This means you can snag the iPhone 11 at a net effective Rs 699 and Rs 1,099.
Usually the top-tier discount is reserved for some impractical device, so, you don’t have to fall for it, but be sure that some discount is available through exchange as well which could bring the price of the iPhone 11 down further.
But as tempting as it might seem, getting a 64GB iPhone 11 in 2024 makes little sense. The iPhone 11 is from 2019 and while Apple is known to support its iPhones for over five years with regular software and other updates (the 11 is eligible for the latest iOS 18 as well), it’s as good as dead. It is the last iPhone with 4G after which Apple switched gears and moved to 5G on the iPhone 12. Even if you’re looking to get a secondary device, the iPhone 12 Mini makes whole lot more sense.
Even if 5G isn’t a big use case, not unless you’re getting an entry-level phone below Rs 10,000, you shouldn’t have to compromise by not getting it inside a smartphone over Rs 20,000. It’s basic hygiene. The 11 also only has an LCD display while the 12 Mini has OLED. The iPhone 11 was a fantastic phone at launch in 2019, it was among the highest-selling smartphones in that year. But the world isn’t the same as it was, the tech has come far, too, and so, if at all the iPhone 11 deal seems too good to be true, do yourself a favour, go get the iPhone 12 Mini instead.
